NCT ID NCT06695559
First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested two non-surgical ways to treat mild gum disease around dental implants (peri-implantitis). Forty adults received either a cleaning with a special chitosan brush alone or with an added antibiotic gel (tetracycline slurry). The goal was to see if adding the gel improved healing, reduced pocket depth, and helped bone regrowth. Results were checked at 1, 3, and 6 months.
