Summary
This study tested whether using a non-invasive breathing mask (like a CPAP machine) for at least 7 days before lung cancer surgery could reduce serious heart and lung complications. The trial included 300 adults with lung cancer who also had breathing problems, obesity, or heart failure. The goal was to see if this simple pre-surgery treatment could make the operation safer.
