No more needles? ultrasound may spot liver disease in kids
NCT ID NCT07202910
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study is testing whether special ultrasound scans can accurately detect liver problems in children without needing a needle biopsy. Researchers will compare these scans to standard biopsy results in 550 children with various liver conditions. If successful, this could make liver diagnosis safer, faster, and less painful for kids.
