Could a simple pee test replace painful biopsies for lupus patients?
NCT ID NCT06642402
Summary
This study is testing whether tiny particles found in urine can be used to detect and monitor serious kidney damage (lupus nephritis) in people with lupus. Researchers will compare results from this new urine test with those from the current standard method, which is an invasive kidney biopsy. The goal is to develop a simpler, safer way to track this serious complication and help patients get timely treatment.
