Breakthrough scans could replace painful liver biopsies for kids
NCT ID NCT07202910
Summary
This study aims to validate new, painless ultrasound scans as a way to diagnose and monitor liver disease in children, potentially replacing the need for invasive biopsies. Researchers will test these imaging techniques on 550 children with various liver conditions or who are at risk. The goal is to see if these scans can accurately detect liver damage, inflammation, and fat buildup without surgery.
