New device could replace needles for heart pressure checks

NCT ID NCT06689215

Summary

This study is testing a new non-invasive device that measures heart pressure without needles or catheters. Researchers are comparing it to the current invasive method that requires a catheter in the neck or chest. The study involves 30 ICU patients with heart failure who already have the invasive catheter in place. The goal is to see if the new device is accurate enough to potentially replace uncomfortable invasive procedures.
