New ultrasound device could replace risky catheters for kids' heart monitoring

NCT ID NCT06885073

Summary

This study is testing a new ultrasound device that measures pressure in children's central veins without needing invasive catheters. It involves up to 100 children and young adults (birth to 21 years) who already have a central venous catheter for standard medical care. Researchers will compare the new device's readings with traditional catheter measurements to see if it's safe and accurate.
