Scientists test painless brain zapping in healthy volunteers

NCT ID NCT07179848

Summary

This early-stage study aims to check if a new non-invasive brain stimulation technique called temporal interference stimulation (TIBS) is safe for healthy adults. Researchers will test the technique on 80 volunteers aged 20-65, stimulating different brain areas while monitoring for side effects and brain changes. The study uses a crossover design where participants receive both real and sham stimulation to compare effects.
