Finger clip could replace needles for monitoring kids in High-Risk surgery
NCT ID NCT07352033
Summary
This study tested whether a simple, non-invasive finger sensor could reliably measure blood loss in children during complex brain and spine surgeries. Researchers compared the sensor's readings to the standard method, which requires drawing blood from an artery. The goal was to see if the painless sensor could be a good alternative for 60 children, from newborns to teenagers, undergoing these procedures.
