No-Touch vital signs: camera app tested in ER
NCT ID NCT07362641
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Aug 25, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tested whether a smartphone camera app could accurately measure heart rate and breathing rate without touching patients. 112 adults in an emergency department had their vital signs measured by both the app and standard monitors. The goal was to see if this contact-free method could be a reliable alternative for busy ER settings.
