New immune cell weapon tested against tough childhood cancer

Summary
This study is testing whether adding specially prepared, donated immune cells can improve a standard treatment for neuroblastoma that has returned or not responded to prior therapy. The trial is for children and young adults (ages 1-31) and combines these 'natural killer' (NK) cells with four other drugs: two chemotherapies, an antibody that targets the cancer, and an immune booster. The goal is to see if this five-part combination can better control the disease.
