First seen May 21, 2026 ยท Last updated May 21, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether the immunotherapy drug nivolumab, alone or with chemotherapy, can shrink early-stage non-small cell lung cancer before surgery and help prevent it from coming back after. About 316 people with stage II or IIIA lung cancer that can be removed surgically are taking part. The goal is to see if this approach improves outcomes and to learn more about how the immune system responds.
