Global survey reveals how doctors handle a key detail in breathing support
NCT ID NCT06888375
Summary
This study was a survey to understand how doctors around the world use humidification (adding moisture to air) when treating hospitalized adults with non-invasive ventilation (NIV), a type of mask-based breathing support. It aimed to map current practices and identify any gaps between what doctors do and the available medical evidence. Over 500 physicians participated by completing an online questionnaire about their methods and reasons for using or not using humidification devices.
