Calming kids at the dentist: can laughing gas ease the fear?
NCT ID NCT07384988
Summary
This study tested whether nitrous oxide sedation (often called laughing gas) helps reduce fear and anxiety in children aged 6-10 during dental procedures. Researchers compared 60 children who received the gas to those who did not, measuring their anxiety levels and behavior during treatment. The goal was to gather stronger evidence on whether this common practice effectively makes dental visits less scary for kids.
