Summary
This study aims to understand how nitrogen narcosis—a state of impaired judgment and coordination that can affect divers at depth—impairs balance and motor skills. It will compare 40 divers: some with a history of inner ear decompression illness and some without. Participants will perform coordination and balance tasks in a pressurized chamber to see if past ear injuries make them more vulnerable, helping to create better safety guidelines.
