First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tested how well a single dose of nirsevimab protects infants under 1 year old from RSV and other respiratory infections. Researchers compared 816 babies who received the shot to those who did not, using hospital records from seven hospitals in China. The goal was to see if nirsevimab reduces hospitalizations for RSV-related and all-cause lung infections.
