Natural boost for labor? study tests nipple stimulation to ease childbirth
NCT ID NCT07317674
Summary
This study is testing whether adding nipple stimulation to a standard medical procedure helps start labor more effectively. It will involve 100 pregnant patients whose cervix is not yet ready for labor. Researchers will compare using a balloon catheter alone versus the catheter plus a breast pump for nipple stimulation to see which better prepares the body for delivery and shortens the total time.
