New drug trial aims to control debilitating nerve disease

Summary

This study is testing whether a drug called nipocalimab can help control chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), a condition that causes progressive weakness and disability. The trial will enroll about 201 adults with CIDP to see if nipocalimab can delay the return of symptoms better than a placebo. Participants who initially respond to the drug will continue in the study to measure how long the benefits last.
