Can a speaking valve help tracheostomy patients sleep better?
NCT ID NCT06229639
Summary
This study aimed to find out if it is safe for people with a tracheostomy to wear a Passy Muir speaking valve while they sleep. It involved 33 adults in a long-term care hospital who could already wear the valve during the day. Researchers monitored their vital signs and asked them about their sleep quality to see if overnight use was safe and helpful.
