Ancient seed in toothpaste fights soldier gum disease

NCT ID NCT07447349

Summary

This study tested whether a toothpaste containing Nigella sativa (black seed) could help control gum inflammation. Researchers measured specific markers of inflammation in the saliva of 100 Indonesian Army soldiers with gingivitis before and after using the toothpaste. The goal was to see if this natural ingredient could reduce these inflammation signals and help manage the condition.
