First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether a special cold therapy device (NICE1) can help reduce pain and the need for opioid painkillers after spinal surgery. About 156 adults having elective spine fusion or laminectomy will be randomly assigned to receive either the cold therapy or standard care. Researchers will compare pain scores, opioid use, hospital stay length, and readmission rates between the two groups.
