Summary
This study looks at whether a protein in the blood called NfL can help doctors understand how severe diabetic nerve damage is and whether it affects balance and fall risk. Researchers will study 80 adults with type 2 diabetes, some with nerve damage and some without. Participants will have blood tests, nerve exams, and balance assessments to see if NfL levels match up with symptoms.
