Summary
This study aimed to better understand and monitor jaundice in healthy, full-term and near-term newborns. Researchers tracked over 220,000 babies across China for their first 30 days of life using a simple skin device to measure jaundice levels. The goal was to create better reference charts for doctors and compare how jaundice patterns differ by region and gestational age.
