Scientists test new brain scan to predict Baby's future development
NCT ID NCT06940713
Summary
This study is testing a new, painless brain imaging technique called functional ultrasound (fUS) in newborns. It aims to see if this scan can help doctors understand early brain development and spot potential signs of future developmental disorders, like autism or learning difficulties, before symptoms appear. The study will involve 76 babies, including those born very early, those with growth problems, and healthy babies for comparison.
