One pill vs many: new hope for fighting widespread worm infections

Summary
This study is testing whether a single dose of a new drug called emodepside works as well as multiple doses of the standard drug mebendazole to clear common intestinal worm infections. It will involve 315 adolescents and adults who are infected with whipworm, and possibly hookworm or roundworm. The main goal is to see if the new treatment is effective and safe.
