New pill could be better at fighting stubborn worms in kids

NCT ID NCT05124691

Summary

This study tested a new combination pill containing two drugs (albendazole and ivermectin) to treat common intestinal worm infections in children and young adults. The goal was to see if this new pill works better than the current standard single-drug treatment, especially for worm types that are hard to eliminate. The trial involved over 1,000 young participants in Africa and was designed to first check safety and then measure effectiveness.
