Summary

This study is testing whether a single dose of a new medication called emodepside works as well as multiple doses of the standard treatment, mebendazole, for clearing common intestinal worm infections. It involves 315 teenagers and adults who have whipworm infections, sometimes along with other worm types. The goal is to see if the new treatment is effective and safe while being more convenient.
