Scientists use advanced ultrasound to spot hidden signs of tendon injury
NCT ID NCT06142747
Summary
This study is testing a new, non-invasive ultrasound technique to see the tiniest blood vessels inside tendons. Researchers want to see if this method can clearly show differences in blood flow between healthy tendons and those injured from overuse (tendinopathy). They will scan the Achilles or knee tendons of 135 people, comparing those with injuries to healthy volunteers, to see if the new images could help doctors better diagnose and understand these painful conditions.
