Summary
This study tests two doses of an experimental oral drug, LXE408, against a standard treatment (miltefosine) for localized cutaneous leishmaniasis, a parasitic skin disease. About 250 adults in the Americas will take the medicine for several weeks. The main goal is to see if the sores heal completely by day 90 and stay healed through day 180 without relapse.
