New combo treatment aims to save lives and voices in advanced throat cancer

Summary
This study is testing whether combining chemotherapy with an immunotherapy drug (finotonlimab) before surgery or radiation can better control advanced throat cancer. Researchers want to see if this approach helps patients live longer while preserving their ability to speak and swallow normally. The trial will enroll 116 adults with newly diagnosed, locally advanced hypopharyngeal cancer who haven't received previous cancer treatment.
