Radioactive drug trial offers new hope for advanced neuroendocrine cancer patients

NCT ID NCT05459844

Summary

This study compared a new radioactive drug treatment to standard therapy for people with advanced neuroendocrine tumors of the digestive system that had stopped responding to previous treatment. The trial involved 196 participants whose cancer had progressed despite standard care. Researchers tested whether the radioactive drug could better control tumor growth and extend the time before the disease worsens compared to the current standard medication.
