Zapping cancer cells: new trial tests electric pulse treatment for thyroid cancer
NCT ID NCT07328243
Summary
This study is testing a procedure called irreversible electroporation (IRE) to treat thyroid cancer that has returned in the lymph nodes of the neck. The procedure uses electrical pulses to destroy cancer cells and is guided by ultrasound imaging. The main goal is to see how much it can shrink the treated lymph nodes over one year and to check if it is safe and improves patients' quality of life.
