Scientists hunt for better test to spot true early puberty
NCT ID NCT07359092
Summary
This study looked at whether measuring two specific substances in the blood could help doctors tell the difference between a serious condition causing early puberty and a harmless, temporary form of early breast development. Researchers compared blood levels of these substances in 143 girls under age 8 who had either central precocious puberty, premature thelarche, or were healthy. The goal was to find a clearer way to diagnose which girls need treatment.
