Video game test aims to spot hidden social struggles in dementia

NCT ID NCT05558709

Summary

This study is testing a new video game-like assessment tool called REALSoCog to see if it can better detect problems with social skills and behavior in people with Alzheimer's disease, Lewy body dementia, or frontotemporal dementia. Researchers will give the test to 120 patients to see if it can spot issues that are often missed in standard doctor visits but reported by family caregivers. The goal is to create a more accurate and realistic way to measure these social challenges, which could lead to better support and care planning.
