New Two-Step attack on deadly esophageal cancer aims to save lives
NCT ID NCT06531434
Summary
This study is testing a new two-step treatment for advanced T4 esophageal cancer. First, patients receive chemotherapy to try to shrink the tumor. If it shrinks enough, they then receive combined chemotherapy and radiation. The main goals are to see if this approach is safer by reducing dangerous tears in the esophagus and if it helps patients live longer.
