Bendable tool could make lung cancer surgery faster, less painful

NCT ID NCT07201077

Summary

This study tested whether a new flexible surgical tool makes keyhole chest surgery for early-stage lung cancer easier and safer than the standard rigid tool. About 100 adults scheduled for this type of surgery were randomly assigned to have their operation with either the new flexible tool or the traditional one. Researchers measured operation time, surgeon workload, pain levels, and recovery to see if the new tool improved the surgical process.
