New surgical mesh aims for fewer complications in prolapse repair

NCT ID NCT06430931

Summary

This study is testing a new biological mesh called OviTex against the standard synthetic mesh used in robotic surgery to repair pelvic organ prolapse. The goal is to see if the new mesh is as effective at controlling the condition while potentially causing fewer complications like pain or mesh exposure. The trial will involve 184 patients who can choose their treatment group or be randomly assigned.
