Surgeons test new 'Wrap-Around' technique to tame stubborn hypertension

NCT ID NCT06526858

Summary

This early study is testing the safety and initial design of a new surgical device called the HyperQure RDN System. It aims to help adults with resistant high blood pressure that isn't controlled by three or more medications. Doctors will perform a laparoscopic surgery to wrap the device around the kidney arteries, aiming to disrupt nerves that contribute to high blood pressure, and then monitor patients for three years.
