First-in-Human trial tests new surgery for untamable high blood pressure

Summary
This is the first study in people to test the safety and early effectiveness of a new surgical procedure called HyperQure. The procedure aims to lower blood pressure in patients whose high blood pressure is not controlled despite taking three or more medications. Doctors will perform the surgery on 10 patients and monitor their blood pressure and health for one year.
