Surgeons test 'Valve' rebuild to stop Post-Surgery diarrhea in colon cancer patients

NCT ID NCT07167420

Summary

This study is testing a new surgical method for people having surgery for right-sided colon cancer. During the operation, surgeons will try to rebuild a natural valve that is normally removed, hoping this will prevent common problems like diarrhea and poor nutrition after surgery. Patients in the study will be randomly assigned to either get this new valve reconstruction or the standard surgery, and then followed to see which approach works better.
