First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study is testing a new stool test to see if it can accurately tell the difference between inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). About 300 adults and teens will provide a stool sample and undergo routine care, including colonoscopy. If the test works well, it could help doctors diagnose bowel conditions without invasive procedures.
