Direct chemo wash trial offers hope for advanced stomach cancer
NCT ID NCT06313801
Summary
This study is testing if adding a special procedure called PIPAC to standard chemotherapy is better at controlling stomach cancer that has spread to the abdominal lining. PIPAC involves washing the abdomen directly with chemotherapy during surgery. Researchers will compare the safety and effectiveness of standard chemo alone versus chemo combined with PIPAC in 106 patients to see which approach better delays cancer progression.
