New device aims to make stomach bypass surgery faster and safer
NCT ID NCT07161856
Summary
This study compares two different ways to perform a minimally invasive stomach bypass procedure for people with a blocked stomach outlet, often caused by cancer. Researchers want to see if a new balloon-assisted technique is faster, uses less water, and is safer than the current standard method. The goal is to provide better relief from nausea, vomiting, and malnutrition for patients who cannot have traditional surgery.
