Heart study tests new balloon technique to keep critical artery open
NCT ID NCT07408674
Summary
This trial aims to see if a new approach using a drug-coated balloon alongside a standard stent works better than using a stent alone for treating complex blockages where a major heart artery splits. About 186 patients with this specific type of blockage will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two procedures. Doctors will then track how well the artery stays open and the patient's health over the following year.
