Brain stent trial offers hope for debilitating 'Whooshing' ear condition

NCT ID NCT07070089

Summary

This study is testing a new medical device called the BosSTENT, which is designed to treat severe pulsatile tinnitus—a condition where people hear a rhythmic whooshing sound in their ears that matches their heartbeat. The research will enroll 90 adults to see if placing this small stent in a narrowed vein in the brain is safe and can reduce the severity of their symptoms. The goal is to provide a new treatment option for people whose condition hasn't improved with other non-invasive therapies.
