First-in-Human trial tests new device to fix dangerous artery bulges

Summary

This is the first study in people to test the safety and performance of a new stent-graft device called iHub. It is designed to treat bulges (aneurysms) in the iliac arteries using a minimally invasive procedure. The goal is to seal off the aneurysm while keeping important nearby blood vessels open. Ten adult patients will receive the implant and be followed for one year to see how they do.
