New 'Perforated' stent aims to tame deadly aortic tears

NCT ID NCT07268755

Summary

This study is testing a new type of stent called Talos to treat aortic dissection, a dangerous tear in the body's main artery. It will follow 320 patients for up to 2 years to see if the stent's special design—longer, tapered, and with small holes—leads to better healing and fewer complications than standard stents. The goal is to control the disease and prevent the need for repeat surgeries.
