New transplant method aims to tame dangerous side effects
NCT ID NCT06225050
Summary
This pilot study is testing a new method for stem cell transplants in adults with high-risk blood cancers who don't have a perfectly matched donor. The method uses a specially processed graft from a half-matched (haploidentical) donor, aiming to reduce the risk of severe graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), a serious complication. Researchers will track 12-18 patients to see how safe and effective this approach is.
