New knot technique challenges standard shoulder surgery
NCT ID NCT07327437
Summary
This study tested a new, potentially more affordable surgical method for repairing torn rotator cuff tendons in the shoulder. It compared this 'Grand-Knot' technique, which uses special knots instead of anchors, to the standard anchor-based repair. Researchers followed 160 patients for over two years to see which method led to better shoulder movement, less pain, and stronger healing.
