New scoring system aims to solve shoulder injury diagnostic puzzle
NCT ID NCT06446336
Summary
This study aims to create a new pre-surgery score, called the HASS score, to more reliably diagnose injuries to the long biceps tendon in the shoulder. It will enroll 200 adults with persistent shoulder pain to test if combining specific physical exams and imaging data can provide a clearer diagnosis before surgery. The goal is to help surgeons plan the right operation from the start, rather than figuring it out during the procedure.
